16-01 STEP

For the month of July, 2020 the contractor completed 34 house connections to the Southern Kent Island public sewer system; those locations were Elm Street, Somerset, Talbot and Tennessee Roads.  Nineteen STEP tanks were installed on Elm Street, Somerset, Talbot, Tennessee Roads.  Twelve electric meter replacements / modifications were installed for the month.  The contractor continues with daily yard stabilization and restorations. During the month of August, the contractor will be completing Tennessee Road continuing sewer utility operations on Talbot, Somerset and moving on to Beach and Bay RD, locations are subject to change.   SKI sewer work street signs will be updated and posted.   County staff has performed 716 pre-construction meetings and acquired 765 easements to date.

• The contractor has installed 638 STEP tanks to date.  
• The contractor has connected 436 houses to the public sewer system to date.

SKI 20-02 Community Mains

Public Sewer Operations has begun in Tower Gardens;  For the month of July 1,000. LF of 3”HDPE community  main has been installed on N. Lake Drive and 2,000. LF of 8” HDPE community main installed on Kent Point RD.
