SKI 16-01 STEP

For the months of January and February 2021, the contractor completed 46 house connections to the Southern Kent Island public sewer system; those locations include: Elm Street, Penny Lane, Caroline, Talbot, Tennessee, Wicomico and Worcester Roads. The contractor worked on finalizing 56 septic system abandonments during January and February. Twenty STEP tanks were installed on Penny Lane, Caroline, Wicomico and Worcester Roads. The contractor continues with daily yard stabilization, but unfortunately the wet winter weather has delayed completing some of the yard restorations.

From this point moving forward into spring the contractor plans to wrap up public sewer utility work on Talbot, Somerset, Wicomico, Worcester, Washington, Kent, Caroline, 200 Block of Virginia, Howard, St. Mary’s Road and Penny Lane. Late spring and into summer the contractor’s projected sewer utility work schedule will include: North Lake RD, Pennick Drive, Olive Branch, Ackerman, 100 Block of Cecil, 100 Block of Virginia and Carroll Roads. Locations are subject to change and street signs will be updated and posted accordingly. The contractor plans to finalize and complete 16-01 SKI STEP sewer phase I project by July 1^st, 2021.

The contractor has installed 716 STEP tanks to date, 59 remaining.
The contractor has connected 625 houses to the public sewer system to date, 150 remaining.
The contractor has completed 746 Electric meter replacements/ modifications, 29 remaining.

SKI 20-02 Community Mains – Tower Gardens

Public Sewer Operations in Tower Gardens; For the months of January and February 2021 the contractor continues working on curb stop installs along with pressure and leak testing the community mainline. For both months the contractor installed 97 curb stop valves located on Drover’s Way Tower, Calvert, Beachside Drive. We will begin installation of the STEP Sewer System on individual homeowner properties in the community and anticipate starting next month in April on North Lake Drive. A County Representative will be in touch to set up a pre-construction meeting in a few weeks prior to the individual install.
