STEP
No tanks were placed this week but 19 were this month. Tank production had slowed but is back up to speed. County staff have received 7 more easements and meet with 4 homeowners this week. The contractor has used about 9% of the contract time and have installed 4% (33) of the total number of tanks. Weather has been a large factor during this time frame. Contractor will continue to install tanks on Margaret and move to Maryland.
Community
Contractor was busy this month, installing 14,000 feet of sewer lines using the HDD and open cut methods. Contractor has moved to the East side of RT 8 to start installing mains along Cecil and Dorchester. They will move to Queen Anne next week. The contractor has used about 18% of the contract time and has installed 16% (16,000 lf) of the total pipe to be installed.
Transmission
Contractor has spent most of this week moving the drill rig from the RT50 bore to Great Neck Road. They have set up and bored out for the next long drill shot, 1900 feet. Contractor will be relocating the 1900 feet of pipe, that is fused and located at the Matapeake School area, to South of Sunny Schulz Blvd. This will happen on 04/04/17 around 1:00 pm. RT 8 will be shut down for about 15 minutes while the pipe is being relocated. The Office of the Sheriff will be out to assist with the move. Please use caution and be patient while this short closure is taken place. The contractor has used about 19% of the contract time and has installed 37% (24,250 lf) of the total pipe to be installed.
