Project Update- July 2017

STEP

The contractor installed 18 tanks during the month of July. That brings the total number of tanks installed to 103, which is about 13% of the total tanks. The contractor has used about 17% of the contract time. The contractor is expecting to add another crew sometime in August. They will continue installing tanks next week on Tennessee. County staff has acquired 16 more easements which will bring the total to 553 or 71% of all the easements.

Community

The contractor installed about 8800 lf of pipe by the open-cut and HDD method for the month. That brings the total lf of pipe installed to about 60,000 lf. This is about 57% of the total work to be completed. The contractor has used about 33% of the contract time. The Contractor will continue installing pipe on Oak, Oregon, and South Carolina next week.

Transmission

The contractor installed about 2200 lf of pipe by open-cut method this month. That brings the total lf of pipe installed to about 38,000 lf. This is about 71% of the total work to be completed. The contractor has used about 33% of the contract time.   The contractor will be installing pipe by the open-cut method near the Bay Bridge Airport next week. They will be laying this pipe across Route 8. There will be a lane shift and construction equipment in the road. Please use caution, stay alert when passing through the lane shift and be prepared for some delays.
