STEP

This week the contractor completed 6 house connections to the Public Sewer System on Maryland and Tennessee Roads and they are currently working on 1 additional connection on Oregon Road today.   The contractor installed 6 pump STEP assemblies to previously installed BIO tubes in addition to installing 218LF of gravity sewer line to the individual homes.  The contractor completed 5 septic tank abandonments this week. Two control panels were installed this week by the contractor along with 417LF of electrical conduit.  Five electric meter replacements / modifications were installed by the contractor this week on Elm Street and South Carolina Road.   The contractor also worked on yard restorations in the community of West Romancoke Road.  Next week, the contractor will continue with 1” drill shots and priority list house connections.

• County staff has performed 528 pre- construction meetings and acquired 754 easements to date.
• The contractor has installed 443 STEP tanks to date.
• The contractor has connected 38 houses to the public sewer system to date.
• Approximately 2″ of rainfall  in Southern Kent Island this week.
