STEP

This week the contractor completed 5 house connections to the Public Sewer System on Maryland, Oregon and Wicomico Roads.   The contractor installed 5 pump STEP assemblies to previously installed BIO tubes in addition to installing 233LF of gravity sewer line to the individual homes.  The contractor completed 5 septic tank abandonments this week. Four control panels were installed this week by the contractor along with 589LF of electrical conduit. Three STEP Tanks were installed this week on Virginia and Allegany Roads.  Ten electric meter replacements / modifications were installed by the contractor this week on Elm Street and South Carolina Road.   The contractor also worked on yard restorations in the Kent Island Estates Communities on Romancoke Road -West and Romancoke on the Bay.   Next week, the contractor will continue with 1” drill shots and priority list house connections.

• County staff has performed 530 pre- construction meetings and acquired 754 easements to date.
• The contractor has installed 446 STEP tanks to date.
• The contractor has connected 43 houses to the public sewer system to date.
