16-01 STEP

This week the contractor completed 3 house connections to the Public Sewer System on Maryland, Allegany and New Jersey Roads.   The contractor installed 2 BIO Tubes with pump assemblies and 1 pump STEP assembly to a previously installed BIO tube in addition to installing 69LF of 4”gravity sewer line to the individual homes.  The contractor completed 8 septic tank abandonments this week.  Two control panels were installed this week by the contractor along with 207LF of 1” electrical conduit. Ten electric meter replacements / modifications were installed by the contractor this week on Oak Street and South Carolina Road.   The contractor also worked on yard restorations throughout the Kent Island Estates Community.  Next week, the contractor will continue with 1” drill shots and priority list house connections.

• County staff has performed 533 pre- construction meetings and acquired 754 easements to date.
• The contractor has installed 446 STEP tanks to date.
• The contractor has connected 46 houses to the public sewer system to date.
