STEP

This week the contractor completed 5 house connections to the Public Sewer System on Bay Drive, Queen Anne and New Jersey Roads.   The contractor installed 3 STEP tanks on Romancoke Road, Penny Lane and Ackerman Drive.   Four STEP pump assemblies were installed to a previously installed BIO tubes, 2 BIO tubes (less pump assemblies) and 1 BIO tube with step pump assembly was installed in addition to 132LF of 4″gravity sewer line installed to the individual homes.  The contractor completed 5 septic tank abandonments during the week.  Five control panels were placed by the contractor along with the installation of 580LF of 1″ electrical conduit and 1″ pressure sewer line.  The contractor completed 10 electric meter replacements / modifications for the week on Queen Anne and Baltimore Roads.  The contractor continues with daily yard restorations.  Next week, the contractor will continue with 1″ drill shots, STEP tank installs in addition to existing and priority list house connections.  The contractor will update road signs for upcoming house connection locations.  Extended work day hours for the contractor are also in effect for the summer.  The county staff has performed 557 pre- construction meetings and acquired 755 easements to date.
