STEP

This week the contractor completed 4 house connections to the Public Sewer System on New Jersey Road.  The contractor installed 3 STEP tanks on Ackerman Drive, Talbot and Worester Roads.   Four STEP pump assemblies were installed to previously installed BIO tubes in addition to 143LF of 4″gravity sewer line installed to the individual homes.  The contractor completed 6 septic tank abandonments during the week.  On Oregon Road the contractor drilled 105LF of 1″ pressure sewer line and completed 5 electric meter replacements / modifications for the week on Kent and Queen Anne Roads.  The contractor continues with daily yard restorations.  Next week, the contractor will continue with 1″ drill shots, STEP tank installs in addition to existing and priority list house connections.  The contractor will update road signs for upcoming house connection locations.  Extended work day hours for the contractor are also in effect for the summer.  The county staff has performed 567 pre- construction meetings and acquired 755 easements to date.
