16-01 STEP

This week the contractor completed all house connections on Touhey Drive; connecting 9 houses to the Public Sewer System. Two STEP tanks were installed by the contractor this week on Queen Anne Road.  Nine STEP assemblies with pumps were installed in addition to 417LF of 4” gravity sewer line installed to those individual homes.  The contractor completed 10 septic tank abandonments.  NIne control panels were placed by the contractor along with the installation of 855LF of electrical conduit and 1″ pressure sewer line.  On Romancoke, Baltimore and Cecil Road the contractor worked on completing 6 electric meter replacements / modifications for the week.  The contractor continues with daily yard stabilizations and restorations.  Next week, the contractor will move utility operations to Queen Anne Road; drilling 1” service lines, installing STEP tanks and house connections.  County staff has performed 597 pre- construction meetings and acquired 756 easements to date.
