STEP

This week the contractor completed 9 house connections to the Public Sewer System on Queen Anne, Long Point and Petinot Road.  One STEP tank was installed by the contractor this week on Queen Anne Road.  Seven STEP assemblies with pumps were installed along with connecting two pump assemblies to previously installed STEP assemblies in addition to 356LF of 4” gravity sewer line installed to those individual homes.  The contractor completed 12 septic tank abandonments.  Eight control panels were placed by the contractor along with the installation of 1,122LF of electrical conduit and 1″ pressure sewer line.  On Wicomico Road the contractor worked on completing 6 electric meter replacements / modifications for the week.  The contractor continues with daily yard stabilization and restorations.  Next week, the contractor will continue utility operations on Queen Anne and Long Point Road changes will be posted; drilling 1” service lines, installing STEP tanks and house connections.  County staff has performed 609 pre- construction meetings and acquired 756 easements to date.
