16-01 STEP

This week the contractor completed 5 house connections to the Public Sewer System and installed Four STEP tanks on Queen Anne and Point Road. The contractor installed 170LF of 4” gravity sewer line to those individual homes along with completing 5 septic tank abandonments.  Five control panels were placed by the contractor including the installation of 1,488LF of electrical conduit and 1″ pressure sewer line.   On Wicomico, Washington, Talbot and Kent Roads the contractor worked on completing 15 electric meter replacements /modifications with disconnects.  The contractor continues with daily yard stabilization and restorations.  Next week, the contractor will continue utility operations; drilling 1” service lines, installing STEP tanks and house connections on Queen Anne Road.  Additional locations shall be posted.  County staff has performed 640 pre- construction meetings and acquired 756 easements to date.

•   The contractor has installed 536 STEP tanks to date.
•   The contractor has connected 201 houses to the public sewer system to date.
