16-01 STEP

For the month of September 2020, the contractor completed 26 house connections to the Southern Kent Island public sewer system; those locations were Bay Drive, Beach, Somerset, South Carolina Talbot, Tennessee and Utah Roads.  Seventeen STEP tanks were installed on Beach, Somerset, Talbot and Tennessee Roads.  Seven electric meter replacements / modifications were installed for the month.  Southern Kent Island recorded 7.6” of rain for the month of September.  The contractor continues with daily yard stabilization and completing yard restorations.  During the month of October, the contractor plans to complete sewer utility operations on Talbot and Somerset Roads moving on to St. Marys, Caroline, Worcester, Utah Roads. Locations are subject to change.  SKI sewer work street signs will be updated and posted.   County staff has performed 732 pre-construction meetings and acquired 765 easements to date.

• The contractor has installed 667 STEP tanks to date, 108 remaining.
• The contractor has connected 485 houses to the public sewer system to date, 290 remaining.
