Project Update- April 2017

STEP

For the month ending 4-30-17, the contractor has used 11% of the contract time and has installed 50 tanks to date. This equates to about 5% of the total number of tanks. Production on the tanks has ramped up now that we are out of the wet season shutdown period. Contractor is expecting to install 6 tanks per week moving forward. County staff has acquired 359 easements to date. This is about 46% of the total number of easements required. County staff are continuing to hold homeowner pre-construction meetings. The SKI office is steady with visitors. Come and see us.

Community

For the month ending 4-30-17, the contractor has used 22% of the contract time and has installed 28,524 lf of the total pipe. This equates to about 27% of the pipe to be installed. Contractor is continuing to work on Talbot, Somerset, Wicomico roads.

Transmission

For the month ending 4-30-17, the contractor has used 22% of the contract time and has installed 27,754lf of the total pipe. This equates to about 47% of the pipe to be installed. Contractor will be moving North of the Matapeake Schools, to continue the next series of drill shots along Rt8 to the Airport. Pipe was installed at the Airport this past week. This work was done at night to minimize the disruption to the Airport traffic.
