STEP
Contractor installed 6 tanks for the week on South Carolina. They plan to set tanks on Tennessee and North Lake next week. The contractor will also start installing service line pipe from the previously installed tanks to the street, next week on Touhey, starting at the end working their way out to Romancoke Road. County staff have conducted 260 pre-construction meetings and acquired 644 easements to date.
Community
The contractor installed 21 curb stop valves and about 500lf of service tubing on Alleghany. They also paved some road crossings in phase “C” this week. They will finish out Alleghany next week and start on Long Point with the curb stops and service tubing. The contractor will also be connecting pipes in phase “B” next week.
Transmission
Contractor moved their transmission crew North of RT 50 to complete the transmission main into the KN/S/G sewer treatment plant. Once their equipment was moved to that area they installed about 250lf of pipe. The contractor will continue with that work for the next few weeks.
The contractors will be shutting down operations on December 22nd and starting back up on January 2nd.
