STEP

Two days of rain this week delayed sewer utility progress. The contractor completed six house connections to the public sewer system located on Romancoke, Long Point, South Carolina and Oregon Road and one STEP tank was installed on Dorchester Road. Seven electric meter replacements / modifications were installed by the contractor this week on Talbot and Dorchester Road. The contractor continues with daily yard stabilization and restorations. Next week, the contractor will continue sewer utility operations on Dorchester, Long Point, North Lake and South Carolina Road. Locations are subject to change. SKI sewer work street signs will be updated and posted. County staff has performed 669 pre- construction meetings and acquired 761 easements to date.

• The contractor has installed 587 STEP tanks to date.
• The contractor has connected 284 houses to the public sewer system to date.
