SKI Project Update 7.27.18

Project was delayed due to an average of 6” of rainfall this week in Southern Kent Island.

Step

The contractor installed 3 STEP tanks for the week on Pennick and Ackerman Drive.  They also drilled 304lf of 1″ pressure sewer line on Utah Road.  The contractor will complete drilling on Utah and move forward to North Lake.   Next week, weather permitting STEP tank installs will move forward to Long Point Road.  The contractor will continue drill shots on Utah Road next week.  The contractor installed 5 electric meter replacement / modifications on Penny Lane this week.  The contractor plans to continue with electric meter installs on Pennick Drive and Penny Lane next week.    County Staff has acquired 715 easements and has conducted 378 pre-construction meetings to date.

Community

The contractor installed 15 curb stops for the week with 348lf of 1″ service lines on Beach and Virginia Roads. The contractor will continue curb stop installs on Virginia and Tennessee Roads next week.  The contractor has essentially completed continuity testing in Phase C (Kent Island Estates – West of Route 8).

Transmission

The contractor and inspector continue to work on the on-going punch list items.  The contractor also continues to haul material from Batts Neck Road to Mattapex.
