STEP

During the last two weeks; The contractor completed 14 house connections to the Public Sewer System on Long Point, Brick House, Queen Anne and Romancoke Roads.  Six STEP tanks were installed on Brick House, Dorchester, Romancoke and Queen Anne Roads.  Seven STEP assemblies with pumps were installed along with connecting seven pump assemblies to previously installed STEP assemblies in addition to 360LF of 4” gravity sewer line installed to those individual homes.  The contractor completed 23 septic tank abandonments.  Thirteen control panels were placed by the contractor along with the installation of 2,048LF of electrical conduit and 1″ pressure sewer line.  On Wicomico Road the contractor worked on completing 11 electric meter replacements /modifications.  The contractor continues with daily yard stabilization and restorations.  Next week, the contractor will continue utility operations on Queen Anne Road, additional locations will be posted; drilling 1” service lines, installing STEP tanks and house connections.  County staff has performed 620 pre- construction meetings and acquired 756 easements to date.
